This distinct and organic motif resembles the tip of a plant unfurling, or the meandering path of a river on the way to the sea. Those who are attracted to it love the natural world, and are most at peace with a comfortable with a slow, soulful flow. In this design, the spiral, which has more prominence than the line, represents growth and evolution. The motif shows how the path is not an angular vector toward a goal, but more symbolic, perhaps, of a vine climbing toward the light. The design is approximately 3500 years old, from archeological evidence from Italy, Hungary and Germany.Pictured here with London Blue Topaz
