Embracing our Anam Cara - Soul Friend

by Jade 01 Feb 2017 0 Comments

During this time of honoring our Beloveds, our Valentines, our loved ones, we are inspired by the meaning of Anam Cara, the Celtic spiritual belief of souls connecting and bonding.

In Celtic Spiritual tradition, it is believed that the soul radiates all about the physical body. When we connect with another and become completely open and trusting with that individual, our souls begin to flow together. Should such a deep bond be formed, we have found our Anam Cara or soul friend.

Our Anam Cara always accepts us as we truly are, holding us in beauty and light...and we do the same in return.

Yet, what if the idea of an Anam Cara were to extend to more than one special Beloved. If we all look at one another as Soul Friends, we can greet any soul we encounter with dignity, respect and love. And when we acknowledge each other as equal passengers on this journey, each worthy of love, each already perfect in the eyes of Creator, this is the gift, the energy, the spirit that will unite us and reveal the illusions of any political maneuvers created to divide us, that would alienate and take away the rights of specific groups of Soul Friends.

Yes, what if instead of defining groups of people by nationality, sexual orientation, gender, age or any other type of segmentation, we could think of us as one group of Soul Friends?
